ERROR in your story - please correct Hello -
A UPI story picking up an item from today's Chicago Trib on a tritium leak at an Illinois nuclear plant is incorrect. The headline, as it is on several Internet news sites (eg:
htto://www.physora.com/newslO232.html ) says HRadioactive Leak Taints Water in Chicago." The plant in question, called Braidwood, is in a rural area about 60 miles SSW of Chicago. The tritium has tainted some residential wells nearby, but not anywhere near Chicago.
We request that you correct the headline and suggest that you clarify the location of the plant and the extent of the leak in the body of your story.
