Indian Point Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 77 days.
Spent Fuel Pool Investigation No leakage is currently being collected from a small hairline crack in the IP2 spent fuel pool wall. The leakage has steadily decreased from about 1.5 liter/day to no leakage since the crack was first identif ed.
The temporary collection system has been removed in preparation for the installation of a permanent collection box.
One of two monitoring wells (MW- 31) near the IP2 spent fuel pool loading bay has been completed and will be sampled. The second deeper will is under development (MW-32).
A second round of samples from three wells in the IP2 transformer yard has yielded results generally consistent with previous samples.
