Wht-IE sts eor orNvmbr18P-211-Indian Point Energy Center Daily Status Report November 18, 2005 Operational Status Indian Point Unit 2 is operating at 100% and has been online 349 days.
Indian Foint Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 44 days.
Spent Fuel Pool Investigation Yesterday Entergy conducted a second dive evolution into the IP2 spent fuel pool to perform a vacuum box test on one of the potential defects identified during the video inspection. The results of the dive are being evaluated.
Entergy has drilled the first of the new wells to be installed on site as part of the tritium investigation. This well is in the spent fuel pool loading bay. Eight additional wells are planned in this phase of the investigation. The new well will be developed and stabilized over the next several days. Samples may be obtained as early as next week.
The NRC is continuing its special inspection on the spent fuel pool issue and is continuing conference calls to brief stakeholders.
Entergy Adds New Feature to Website Entergy has added an e-mail update feature to its safesecurevital website. You can sign up for updates on a variety of topics including siren tests, security upgrades and environmental issues.
