Entergy to Test Sirens Today Entergy. the owner of the Indian Point Energy Center, will conduct two full-volume tests of the emergency alert nolification sirens in Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Putnam counties today between 10 a.m.
and 10::30 a.m.
Note: V/HUD Radio (100.7 FM) will perform a test of the Emergency Alert System immediately following the both siren tests.
During the two tests, all 156 sirens will sound simultaneously for approximately four minutes. The sirens will begin at low volume and rapidly rise to full volume.
NO RESPONSE ON THE PART OF THE PUBLIC IS NECESSARY DURING TODAY'S TEST +
During an emergency at Indian Point, the counties would sound all 156 sirens simultaneously for four minutes at full volume, alerting the public to tune to their local Emergency Alert System (EAS) radio or TV station for important information. Sounding the sirens is a signal for residents to listen to Emergency Alert System broadcasts for important information.
Spent Fuel Pool Investigation Entergy is continuing the investigation into a leak from a small hairline crack in the IP2 spent fuel pool.

No leakage was detected in this test. Later this week a second dive evolution will be performed near the third area where a small potential flaw was identified in a video inspection of the liner.
The NRv is continuing its special inspection on the spent fuel pool issue and is continuing conference calls to brief stakeholders.
