Indian Foint Energy Center Daily Status Report November 30, 2005 Operational Status Indian Foint Unit 2 is operating at 100% and has been online 361 days.
Indian Foint Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 57 days.
Emergency Plan Exercise Held Today Entergy. New York State Emergency Management Office and the four counties in the 1 0-mile Emergency Planning Zone held an emergency response exercise today. The scenario involved a simulated small loss of coolant accident which escalated into a larger break followed by fuel damage and release of radiation.
Today's exercise marked the first time using the new Joint Information Center located at the DOT traffic management center in Hawthrone, N.Y. The new JIC uses a virtual news room concept where media briefers from remote locations can participate via audio and video links.
Siren False Alarm in Yorktown Some residents in the Yorktown area heard the sound of a siren last night. The siren was not one the 156 emergency sirens in the EPZ. It was confirmed to be a fire department siren. State Police and local officials responded to a number of citizen inquires.
