REQUALIFICATION PROGRAM INSPECTION - LIMERICK GENERATING STATION AND PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION
Dear Mr. Crane:
In a telephone conversation on March 20, 2006, Mr. Gilbert Johnson, Examiner/Inspector, and Mr. David Malinowski, Licensed Operator Requalification Training Lead, made arrangements for the NRC to inspect the Limited Senior Reactor Operator requalification program for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station and Limerick Generating Station facilities. The inspection is planned for the week of May 30, 2006, which coincides with your regularly scheduled requalification examination cycle. The staff at your facility should prepare and conduct the requalification examinations in accordance with your NRC-approved requalification program.
In accordance with 10 CFR 55.59(c), the NRC may request facility licensees to submit their comprehensive requalification written examinations or annual operating tests as necessary to support the NRC's inspection program needs. In order for the NRC to adequately prepare for this inspection, please furnish: 1) an index or summary of condition reports written in the past two years in which licensed operator errors associated with refueling or fuel handling were determined to be the root or contributing cause; and 2) the examination schedule, sample plan, written examination and operating test scheduled for the week of the inspection to the NRC by May 22, 2006. Mr. Malinowski has been advised of this request and provided with the name and address of the NRC lead inspector assigned to this inspection.
This letter contains information collections that are subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.). These information collections were approved by the Office of Management and Budget, approval number 3150-0018, which expires on June 30, 2006.
