This refers to the open Category One public meeting that was conducted at NRC Region II Office at 61 Forsyth St., Atlanta, GA on March 30, 2006, to discuss the results of your root cause evaluation for the high failure rate on the January 10, 2006, operator licensing initial written examination. A list of attendees and a copy of your presentation handout are enclosed.

This meeting enabled us to more fully understand your root cause analysis and corrective actions. During the meeting, you indicated that you now share our view that the written examinations administered on January 10, 2006 were valid examinations. This shared understanding will allow us to more efficiently disposition the initial operator license applications.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
