Indian Point Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 20 days.
Entergy iscontinuing the investigation into a leak in the IP2 spent fuel pool. The NRC has conducted a special inspection on the issue. Last week, Entergy released the results of a second round of sampling well results.
r NRC Sets Public Meeting on New Siren Orders The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold a public meeting at Crystal Bay on November 16, 2005 from 7 to 10 pm. The meeting is being held to discuss the installation of backup power for the emergency notification system, as specified in the Energy Policy Act of 2005, and to discuss corrective actions for the siren system for Indian Point. BM_401 54Entergy Assists Florida Power & Light Respond to Wilma Entergy's has sent response teams to Florida to assist Florida Power & Light to respond to hurricane Wilma. . The workforce consists of about 60 company line work~ers, plus support personnel, from Arkansas, 60 plus support from Louisiana, 30 plus support, from Mississippi and about 60 contract workers from Texas.
Earlier this morning, FPL reported more than 2 million customers without electricity.
