- Kathy, The NRC's Special Inspection of the IP2 Spent Fuel Pool issue is ongoing, and we intend to continue the inspection until the contamination is characterized and a good mitigation plan is in place. Please refer to the NRC Special Inspection as something that is in progress, rather than as something that has been completed.

Indian Point Energy Center Daily Status Report October 24, 2005 Operational Status Indian Point Unit 2 is operating at 100% and has been online 324 days.
Indian Point Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 20 days,-
Entergy is continuing the investigation into a leak in the IP2 spent fuel pool. The NRC has conducted a special inspection on the issue. Last week, Entergy released the results of a second round of sampling well results.
,tNRC Sets Public Meeting on New Siren Orders The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold a public meeting at Crystal Bay on November 16, 2005 from 7 to 10 pm. The meeting is being held to discuss the installation of backup power for the emergency notification system, as specified in the Energy Policy Act of 2005, and to discuss corrective actions for the siren system for Indian Point.
