Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Physical Security Plan and Safeguards Contingency Plan Revision 2 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54, "Conditions of licenses," paragraph (p)(2), Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) is submitting Revision 2 to the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Security Plan. The changes to the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan were implemented on March 15, 2006.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2), EGC is submitting this change within 60 days of implementation (i.e., May 14, 2006).
The Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan have been revised to:
- 1. Increase the minimum number of security responders by defining additional armed responders that the site maintains in order to implement the protective strategy.
- 2. Increase the commitment and further clarify the compensatory measures required for the failure or degradation of the vehicle barrier system, based on NRC staff recommendations contained in Security Frequently Asked Question (SFAQ) # 04-09.
- 3. Clarify the meaning of ready access to contingency equipment when implementing the protective strategy, based on NRC staff recommendations contained in SFAQ # 05-03, revision 1.

March 15, 2006 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 EGC has concluded that the changes do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan. contains Safeguards Information. Therefore, EGC requests that this information be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, "Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding," paragraph (a)(1)(i), and 10 CFR 73.21, "Requirements for the protection of safeguards information," paragraph (b)(1)(i).
