Dear Mr. Sumner By letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) dated July 20, 2004, you applied for an amendment to the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 (Hatch), Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-57 and NPF-5, respectively. The proposed amendment would have made changes to the DC electrical system Limiting Conditions for Operation requirements in the Hatch Technical Specifications consistent with Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) change traveler TSTF-360, Revision 1. You provided additional information to the NRC staff on May 2 and September 26, 2005. Subsequently, by letter dated March 2, 2006, you withdrew the amendment request.
The NRC has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

DOCKET NOS. 50-321 AND 5-366 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the request of Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. (the licensee), to withdraw its July 20, 2004, application for a proposed amendment to Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-57 and NFP-5 for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, located in Appling County, Georgia.
The proposed amendment would have made changes to the DC electrical system Limiting Conditions for Operation requirements in the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant Technical Specifications for Unit Nos. 1 and 2, consistent with Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) change traveler TSTF-360, Revision 1.
The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on October 12, 2004 (69 FR 60686).
However, by letter dated March 2, 2006, the licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment dated July 20, 2004, and the licensee's letter dated March 2, 2006, which withdrew the application for license amendment.
