NRC attendees: William Ruland, Spent Fuel Project Office, Joe Sebrosky, Spent Fuel Project Office, Rich Guzman, Nuclear Reactor Regulation, James Trapp, NRC Region I The purpose of the call was to provide Mr. Epstein an opportunity to provide the NRC staff with his concerns regarding PPL Susquehanna, LLC's (PPL) January 31, 2006, request for exemption from NUHOMS Certificate of Compliance No 1004 for the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (SSES). After the phone call Mr. Epstein provided the staff with a facsimile that summarized his concerns. The facsimile is available in ADAMS under ADAMS accession number ML060750103.

After Mr. Epstein stated his concerns as detailed in the facsimile, the NRC staff stated that it understood the concerns and would consider the issues that Mr. Epstein raised when deciding whether or not the NRC would grant the exemption.
