Anne Passarelli; Daniel Orr; George Malone; Glenn Meyer; John Boska; Mel Gray; Scott Barber; Theodore Wingfield 2/26/04 7:36AM USA Safety Culture Assessment Info Utilities Service Alliance (USA) to Perform Safety-Culture Assessment As reported last week, PSEG Nuclear Senior Leadership has sponsored Utilities Service Alliance (USA) to perform a one-week Safety-Culture assessment. The team will be on site from Monday, March 1 thru Friday, March 5. The 14-member assessment team from USA includes individuals from Columbia Generation, Cooper, D.C. Cook, Fort Calhoun, Susquehanna, Wolf Creek, Fermi 2, Darlington (Canada),
and INPO. The team leader will be Bill O'Connor, Vice President Nuclear Generation at Fermi. Neil Bergh, Manager of Quality Assessment, is the PSEG management host for the ssessment.
The first 2Y days of the Safety-Culture assessment will involve interviews with approximately 130 site personnel at all levels including senior leadership, supervision, MAST, and represented employees.
During the remainder of the week the assessment: team will observe worker and leader behaviors at plant meetings and during plant tours. An exit meeting will be held with site management on Friday, March 5, with a formal assessment report to follow.
Please give your full cooperation to our USA guests so the team can provide us with an accurate assessment. Assessment results will be shared with site personnel subsequent to receipt of the formal report.
