Issuance of VY EPU Amendment

Craig, The Vermont Yankee EPU amendment was issued this morning. The following files are attached:

1) Cover letter, amendment, and notice (ADAMS Accession No. ML060050022)

2) License and Technical Specification pages: (ADAMS Accession No. ML060390107)

Due to the size of the Safety Evaluation (SE) I have not attached it to this email. The non-proprietary (i.e.,

public) version of the SE should be available in Citrix-based ADAMS today or web-based ADAMS tomorrow at Accession No. ML060050028.

As was discussed during the ALSB teleconference on 1/24/06, the NRC will send a hard copy of the entire amendment package to the ASLB and all parties by overnight delivery. We are presently getting copies made and expect to mail the hard copies out later today. OGC will send out a separate email to confirm that the overnight delivery was sent.

With regard to the hard copies being mailed to the service list, the package being mailed to Michael Kansler will include a copy of the proprietary-version of the SE. All other copies on the service list will receive the non-proprietary version of the SE.
