Final results of NRC SCWE review, Salem/Hope creek We hope to issue our final SCWE results to PSEG in the next few days, perhaps as soon as Friday, if we can complete all the internal coordination. There will be an extensive comm plan to be carried out when we issue our letter.
We are putting the letter into concurence (for parallel concurrences) now that will:
- - provide final results of NRC's review
- - provide our acceptance of their assessments, action plan, and comitments,
- - document several add'l commitments that we have obtained; and
- -outline in general terms our heightened oversight of their efforts to improve the work environment and its principal underlying problems.
The letter is similar to what we had envisioned during our last conference call, except that we have not asked them to submit add'I metrics on the docket (beyond the 17 they are already planning to send).
Instead, we are giving them the list today (including about 30 metrics plus the general topic of 'working hours') and telling them that RI and HQ folks will review those on-site. (Knowing that we will be reviewing them anyhow, they may choose to docket them, but that will be their choice.) We did not want to officially ask them to docket as many as 50 metrics, when, as far as we can tell, others are not.
