Re: Contact with alleger regarding change to "widely known" status I'm sure you all realize this but...although the alleger provided us important information and interesting insights into the internal wrokings of PSEG, our actions were based on much more than just the info she provided. That basis includes the results of inspections that we have performed, as supplemented by the insights gained from management site visits, events, etc. It's important that we not be painted by PSEG, NEI or others as solely reacting to what they would claim to be an as-of-yet not formally substantiated allegation.
If it hasn't happened already, I suggest you consider a Comm Team discussion about how we talk about our activities now that she has come out in the open.

On Sunday, March 28, 2004, 1 spoke by phone to Dr. Kymn Harvin after her speech in a rally near Salem/Hope Creek. She confirmed that she had spoken publicly and to media about having contacted NRC and therefore had transitioned to a status of 'widely known' alleger. She understood that the NRC may, from then forward, acknowledge that we have received some issues from her and have been reviewing them.
Thanks to Leanne Harrison for researching all the protocols for this situation.
