Re: Phone call with Norm Cohen Poor semantics on my part - I actually "requested" to know where they stand on the issue.

i would not 'request' PSEG to answer questions like they did at last year's AAM, just find out their intentions.

I returned a call to Norm Cohen (Unplug Salem). He expressed his interest in having the opportunity to address questions to PSEG in the March 18 meeting (as they had done in the April 2003 meeting). I said that I had made that request to PSEG and not gotten an answer yet, but that in the end, it will be their decision. I committed to let him know the outcome.
He also requested that the public be given the opportunity to raise questions at some point during the meeting, not at the end. Although no firm plan for the meeting has been made, I agreed to consider his request (especially after PSEG's approach is decided).
He asked that some information be presented at the meeting regarding the ongoing NRC investigation. I responded that I could not confirm or deny any investigation, that NRC policy would prevent public discussion of any ongoing investigation (if it existed), and that public discussion would be counterproductive to any investigation, despite whatever benefit might exist for the public.
