FYI.please read the attached. I didn't send this to the entire SALEMHCSCWE distribution. I thought it's dissemination should be smaller. I have not responded as yet, for fear of acknowledging something that I shouldn't. I'm not even sure if a response is required or necessary and am seeking your comments/thoughts on that.
Briefly, Dave L. indicates that he is aware of the SCWE issue we are following at Salem/HC and has heard some good feedback about how we are handling it. He indicated that, in his opinion, past NRC expreinece in reviewing SCWE problems at other sites hasn't been so successful, and he is hoping that we have a better outcome. He also wanted to let us know that he will be monitoring our actions.
I still intend to have a discussion with Lisa Jarriel about what the threshhold would look like in this instance for calling the alleger a "widely known alleger." My general interpretation of that would be a case where the alleger has gone to so many public outlets that protecting their identity would be impossible. I'm not sure we're there yet, but I think we're getting close.
