Since January 1, 2002, the NRC has informed the licensee of the results of three 01 investigations involving the Salem and/or [lope Creek facilities. Two of the cases involved investigations of alleged discrimination of staff for raising safety issues. In each case, the NRC was unable to substantiate that discrimination occurred. In the third case, the NRC substantiated that a Nuclear Technical Supervisor deliberately submitted a bogus urine sample during a random drug screen examination. A Severity Level IlIl Notice of Violation was issued to the Nuclear Technical Supervisor.
