Re: NEW INFO - 60 MINUTES to interview alleger I have told EDO office and others that we have our script ready..... that it is, in essence, what we provided in our previous 2-pager.
Pls confirm that we have Qs and As that convey this information.... that we are updating them.
I'll be at the qa mgr's meeting tomorrow. I would like to review the bidding on tuesday upon my return.
Thanks.

I agree.

We should start planning a response ASAP. As the Commissioner stated during his speech we should not run away from the press like we did w/ the/ Washington Post. We should plan for the worst case. 60 Minutes could ask for a comment at anytime. This is a complex case and decisions on how to respond should be a planned evolution.
Thanks Marc S. Ferdas

Bob Woodruff, the RI-2003-A-0110 alleger's attorney called me a few minutes ago. He informed me that the alleger has been approached by 60 Minutes for an interview, which if held, would be sometime next week. He indicated that he wanted to check with me to get my take on it so that he could advise the allger. He asked if I could provide him a status or a "% completion", and I indicated that I could not. I informed him that the alleger had asked me on several occasions in general conversation what I thought she should do if approached by the media to discuss her concerns. I told her that it was her prerogative and that I could not make that decision for her. I told her, as I did her attorney, that such action would change the landscape somewhat. The attorney acknowledged.
