Technical Specification Improvement Regarding Steam Generator Tube Integrity Using the Consolidated Line Item Improvement Process The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Generic Letter 2006-01 (Reference a) to address concerns that current Technical Specification requirements may not be sufficient to ensure that steam generator tube integrity can be maintained in accordance with current licensing and design basis. The Generic Letter requested information concerning our intentions to submit a request to modify the steam generator portion of our Technical Specifications consistent with Technical Specification Task Force (TSTF)-449, Revision 4. We are responding in accordance with Option 1 of the Generic Letter. We confirm that we have submitted a request (Reference b) to modify our Technical Specifications consistent with TSTF-449, Revision 4.
