HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION - AMENDMENT NO. 163
Dear Mr. Levis:
On February 8, 2006, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued License Amendment No. 163 to the Hope Creek Generating Station (Hope Creek) related to the implementation of the Average Power Range Monitor, Rod Block Monitor Technical Specification/Maximum Extended Load Line Limit Analysis (ARTS/MELLLA).
The Safety Evaluation (SE) that was sent to you and members of the Hope Creek service list contains information that is proprietary to General Electric Nuclear Energy. The SE did not have the proper markings for proprietary information. The NRC staff is providing the members of the service list with a redacted SE and asking them to destroy the proprietary one.
Please destroy the improperly-marked SE, including any copies you may have made, for the Hope Creek ARTS/MELLLA license amendment. The NRC is in the process of issuing you a new copy of the amendment package with the appropriate markings on the SE.
