The NRC received an application from Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc.
dated January 25, 2006, for the renewal of the operating license for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station. The purpose of the meeting is for the NRC staff to provide information describing the license renewal process and how the public can participate. The agenda for the meeting is attached. Information on the license renewal process is available at http://www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/licensing/renewal.html, on the NRCs Web site.

This is a Category 3 Meeting. The public is invited to participate in this meeting by providing comments and asking questions throughout the meeting.
