V. C. SUMMER NUCLEAR PLANT: CONTRACT SECURITY TRAINING AND RE-QUALIFICATION (OFFICE OF INVESTIGATIONS CASE NUMBER 2-2005-009)
Dear Mr. Archie:
Enclosed for your information is the synopsis of the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) Office of Investigations (OI) completed report regarding contract security training and re-qualification at the V. C. Summer nuclear plant. OI did not substantiate that training instructors at V. C. Summer illegally falsified their security and training records associated with the instructors re-qualification process.
Based on the OI activity described in the synopsis, we plan no further action with regard to this matter. Should you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact me or Oscar de Miranda, Senior Allegation Coordinator, at 404/562-4424.

This investigation was initiated by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Office of Investigations, Region II, on March 9, 2005, to determine if four contract security Training Instructors employed by the The Wackenhut Corporation (TWC), at the V. C. Summer Nuclear Plant (Summer) willfully falsified Security Qualification Training (SQT) records associated with the instructors re-qualification process.
Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, the allegation that four Training Instructors willfully falsified their SQT records associated with the instructors re-qualification process was not substantiated.
