PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS ASSESSMENT AND IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES FOR THE ENGINEERING AND CORRECTIVE ACTION PROGRAMS AT POINT BEACH
Dear Mr. Koehl:
This letter confirms our plans as discussed between Mr. J. McCarthy of your staff and me to have a meeting between representatives of the Nuclear Management Company, LLC, and the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, February 2, 2006, at the Region III Office of the NRC, 2443 Warrenville Road, Suite 210, Lisle, Illinois 60532. The meeting is open to the public and there will be an opportunity for the public to speak with NRC representatives before the meeting is adjourned.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss results of current NMC self-assessments of performance in the areas of engineering and corrective actions at Point Beach and to discuss future actions to improve performance in these areas.
