I accept your invitation to provide opening remarks at the Nuclear Energy Institutes Emergency Preparedness and Communication Forum in Clearwater, Florida on June 12, 2006. As you are aware, Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Response has always been an area of high NRC interest. I look forward to providing the attendees an overview of how the NRC would respond to an event at one of our licensed facilities, and how we would coordinate recovery activities with other government agencies.
