NONCITED VIOLATION AND AN APPARENT VIOLATION IN NRC INSPECTION
REPORT 05000483/2005004
Dear Mr. Naslund:
Thank you for the letter from Mr. Young of your staff, dated December 14, 2005, in response to
our November 5, 2005, letter and integrated NRC Inspection Report 05000483/2005004. In the
December 14, 2005, letter AmerenUE provided clarification to the safety significance analysis of
an apparent violation and to the identification of a noncited violation.
The NRC is reviewing the comments related to the 2005 third quarter integrated inspection of
the Callaway Plant and will inform you of the results of our review by separate correspondence.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be
made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from
the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is
accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public
