Palisades Nuclear Plant Operated by Nuclear Management Company, LLC January 5,2006 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATTN: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 Palisades Nuclear Plant Docket 50-255 License No. DPR-20 Withdrawal of License Amendment Request for One-Time Extension to the Technical Specification Action Completion Time for Restoration of a Service Water Train to Operable Status By letter dated April 1, 2005, as supplemented by letters dated May 26, 2005, August 25, 2005 and November 22,2005, Nuclear Management Company, LLC (NMC) requested Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review and approval of a proposed license amendment request for a one-time extension to the Technical Specification action completion time for restoration of a service water train to operable status for the Palisades Nuclear Plant (PNP). After reviewing the latest service water pump P-7C surveillance test results, NMC determined that the license amendment request was no longer necessary for PNP. Therefore, NMC is withdrawing the license amendment request.
A copy of this withdrawal letter has been provided to the designated representative of the State of Michigan.
