January 10, 2006 Mr. David A. Christian Sr. Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer Virginia Electric and Power Company Innsbrook Technical Center 5000 Dominion Blvd.

SUBJECT:

CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NO. 246 FOR NORTH ANNA POWER STATION, UNIT NO. 1 (NORTH ANNA 1) (TAC NO. MC8818)

Dear Mr. Christian:

On November 4, 2005, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 246 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-4 for the North Anna 1. This amendment was in response to your application dated November 3, 2005, as supplemented by letter dated November 4, 2005.

The amendment revised Technical Specification (TS) 3.5.2, ECCS-Operating, to add a note to the Completion Time that allowed a temporary 7-day Completion Time in order to repair a weld leak that was discovered on the A train of the low-head safety injection pump suction piping.

TS page 3.5.2-1 for North Anna 1 and 2 was issued with Amendment Nos. 246 and 226 typed on the bottom. Subsequently, the NRC staff discovered that the Amendment No. for North Anna 2 should not have been changed from 212 to 226. TS page 3.5.2-1 has been revised to reflect the correct Amendment Nos., 246 and 212. The corrected TS page is enclosed. The revision is identified by a vertical line in the margin next to the amendment numbers.

The NRC regrets any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any questions, please contact me at (301) 415-1544.

Sincerely,

/RA/
