SUMMARY
OF THE DECEMBER 14, 2005, PUBLIC EXIT MEETING TO DISCUSS THE RESULTS OF THE NRCS REVIEW OF PERRYS PHASE 2 PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVE (PII)
On December 14, 2005, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public meeting at the Renaissance Quail Hollow Resort in Painesville, Ohio. The meeting was between the NRC and FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) management to discuss the results of the NRCs review of Perrys Phase 2 Performance Improvement Initiative. The meeting notice can be found in ADAMS as ML053210385. A list of principal NRC and licensee meeting participants as well as the NRCs and licensees presentation slides can be found in the attached enclosures.
The NRC began the meeting with an overview of Perrys performance history. This was followed by an overview of the current and future Confirmatory Action Letter activities, and a discussion of the results of the NRCs review of Perrys Phase 2 PII.
The licensees presentation included a discussion of the status of the individual PII Initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, time was allotted for public comments and questions.
