OFFICE OF SECRETARY RULEMAKINGS AND ADJUDICATIONS STAFF hour guidelines Thanks for the proposed changes, I for one do not want to be required for more than my 40 hr work week.
Required overtime will still be necessary for plant operations but the new requirements will greatly lessen the pain.
Family time with my wife and children can never be replaced. In a industry that zero errors is the goal some rest and relaxation can go a long way to help keep the mind sharp.
Fatigue is a part of human performance that we can control, 6 & 7 straight 12 hr days is not conducive to our goal of safe and reliable power generation.
On a job that is stressful enough, quality time off is vital to our mental and physical health.
