CORRECTION LETTER - ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNIT NO. 2 ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT RE: CONTAINMENT STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY (TAC NO. MC5637)

Dear Mr. Forbes:

On September 29, 2005, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Amendment No. 262 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-6 for Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit No. 2. The amendment was in response to your application dated December 20, 2004, as supplemented by letter dated April 26, 2005. The amendment changed the containment structures and tendon inservice inspection requirements to be consistent with NUREG-1432, Standard Technical Specifications, Combustion Engineering Plants, Revision 3 and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI. These changes modify the Surveillance Requirement of Technical Specification (TS) 3.6.1.5, add a new Surveillance Program to TS 6.5.6, add a new report to TS 6.5.7, and make two administrative changes to the TSs.

After issuance, it was discovered that page 6-6, provided with Amendment No. 262, omitted a requirement pertaining to tendon baseline measurements from initial operation. Please replace the incorrect page with the enclosed corrected page for Amendment No. 262.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 301-415-1436.

Sincerely,

/RA/
