Security Measures for Research and Test Reactors with Lic'ensed 1Powe Levels Les's Than 2 Megawatts, Which Have Not Received Confirmatory Action Letters,"' October 7, 2005. -

Dear Mr. Mendonca:

This letter is to request a thirty-day extension of the deadlinefor-response to the Request for Additional Information (RAI) made in the reference letter. The reference letter was received by Texas A&M University (TAMU) on October 13, 2005. It stated that response to the RAI should be mailed within 30 days of that date. The extension would allow our response to be submitted no later than December 12, 2005, The basis for our request for extension is the Reactor Supervisor to;whom the RAI was addressed terminated his employment with TAMU several days prior to our receipt of the RAI as I have previously notified you. The subsequent interim assignment of responsibilities and current personnel replacement have impeded our timely response.
