Back In April and May, Ray Shadis of the New England Coalition fighting the Vermont Yankee uprate made some very public allegations about NRC's public affairs officers lying to the media. He also publicly criticized Mindy Landau for 'lying" to him. These allegations were made in letters to the Chairman, and the agency's only real response was to refer them to OIG as a matter of course. Has OIG done anything on them? I don't want you to speak out of turn, of course, but If OIG found the charges unworthy of pursuit, that would at least be encouraging and at most newsworthy.
