Survey: 2003-04" which covers the portion of the Mississippi River near the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.In August 2004, Black sandshell mussels (Ligumia recta), a special concern mussel species, were documented in the Mississippi River in the immediate vicinity of the nuclear plant, and creek Heelsplitter mussels (Lasmigona compressa), another special concern species, were documented approximately 3.5 miles upstream of the plant site.The following non-listed mussel species were also documented in the immediate vicinity of the plant site: Lasmigona complanata Pyganodon grandis Lampsilis siliguoidea Lampsilis cardium Please let me know if you need any additional information.
