AUDIT AND REVIEW REPORT FOR PLANT AGING MANAGEMENT REVIEWS AND PROGRAMS FOR THE MONTICELLO NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION
Dear Mr. Conway:
By letter dated March 16, 2005, Nuclear Management Company, LLC, (NMC or the applicant) submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 54 (10 CFR Part 54) to renew the operating license for Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant (MNGP), for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The NRC staff conducted an audit and review of the aging management reviews (AMRs) and associated aging management programs (AMPs) for which the applicant claimed consistency with the Generic Aging Lessons Learned (GALL) Report. The purpose of the audit and review was to determine whether the AMRs and AMPs were in compliance with 10 CFR Part 54.
The report documenting the results of the audit and review is now publicly available. This report can be viewed through the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) using accession number ML052850461. The ADAMS Public Electronic Reading Room is accessible from the NRCs Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
