- Scott, All our correspondence has been in terms of MWt (1593 to 1912) since the thermal level is what is in the license. When you talk in terms of MWe, the numbers are sometimes expressed in gross or net. The current net rating is 510 MWe per the NRC Info Digest. 20% on top of that would be about 100 Mwe increase.

Attached is the notice for the Vermont Yankee extended power uprate amendment request. It should be published In the Federal Register (FR) about July 1, 2004. The FR Notice provides a 60 day period to request a hearing on the proposed amendment. The 60 day clock starts after it is published in the Federal Register.
I have already notified the licensee and provided them a copy. I will notify Bill Sherman next.
Tom Madden - as we discussed, please forward to the staff for Senator Jeffords, Senator Leahy, and Congressman Sanders today.
Scott Burnell - in talking with Allen Howe, we decided the press release should not be issued until it is actually published in the Federal Register.
I will coordinate with George Dick and Donna Skay to have it posted on the hearings web page and the Vermont Yankee web page.
