Dear Sir or Madam:

By the referenced letter, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment Nos. 287 and 269 to Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP) Unit 1 and Unit 2 Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-58 and DPR-74, respectively. These amendments approved the CNP Unit 1 and Unit 2 improved Technical Specifications (ITS), and included an implementation date of no later than October 31, 2005. In the referenced letter, the NRC requested that Indiana Michigan Power Company submit a letter stating that the ITSs have been implemented within 14 days of the date of implementation. This letter is to inform the NRC Staff that the ITS were implemented on September 25, 2005 at CNP Unit 1 and Unit 2, including all amendments through CNP Unit 1 and Unit 2 Amendment Nos. 290 and 272, respectively.
