WASHINGTON STATE v UNIVERSITY Nuclear Radiation Center October 12, 2005 Document Control Desk 50-97 US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 Facility Docket # 50-027 As of October 18, 2005, the current director of the Washington State Nuclear Radiation Center (WSUNRC), Dr. Gerald Tripard, will retire. Mr. Ken Spitzer, Associate Vice Provost for Research, will assume the duties as Interim Director of the facility until such time as a permanent director can be found.

During this time, Mr. Spitzer will have all of the rights, duties and responsibilities of the Director of the facility in accordance with applicable procedure.

The WSUNRC will inform the Commission in the event of a change in the status of the directorship of the facility in the future.
