On behalf of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), thank you for your participation in the recent public meeting on August 30-September 1 to discuss selected topics for the review of emergency preparedness (EP) regulations and guidance. As a member of the roundtable panel, your insights and views on various issues discussed where valuable in enabling the NRC staff to fully understand and obtain a balanced view of significant emergency preparedness issues.
As the NRC staff proceeds with our evaluation of EP regulations and guidance, we will continue to engage State/local emergency preparedness professionals like yourself to ensure continued involvement of the various stakeholders.
