BWR Containment Overpressure Good Day:
Paul Blanch, during his review of the proposed power uprate at Vermont Yankee, discovered that Entergy wants to take credit for containment overpressure following an accident. As described in the attached backgrounder we developed, the NRC has long barred this safety compromise.
It's a bad idea and we hope that the people of Vermont don't face this unnecessary safety margin erosion.
