- Neil, As we just discussed, Entergy's statement addresses one part of their investigation, the visual search of the pool. Their investigation is continuing, as the advisory states, and includes review of records and interviews of personnel. Our special inspection team will go to the site after their investigation final report is complete, and I will be at the site next week to check on the status of the investigation.

This media advisory went out about 6 p.m. yesterday to the full list of reporters interested in Vermont Yankee. With the plant declaring that its visual search of the pool is "essentially completed," and no fuel rod pieces anywhere in sight, we are bound to get press calls. If asked where the NRC review effort goes from here, how should we respond? What is the latest with the Special Inspection effort?
