- Neil, I understand you got a question from a reporter and wanted to know why the licensee did this dryer inspection.
As I'm not sure the answer was received earlier on voice mail, I wanted to get it out this way so we're all on the same page.
Per the licensee, GE put out a Rev. 1 to SIL 644 dealing with dryer cracks found. In answer to the question, due to the SIL (industry information), even if they weren't going for a power uprate, they would have performed inspections at a level that they believe would have found these indications. However, because they are going for an uprate the inspections actually performed this outage were more detailed than they would have performed otherwise.
