NRC formal review of VY power uprate begun
- Toby, I just wanted to give you a heads-up that the NRC determined yesterday that it now had all of the information it needed to formally begin reviewing the Vermont Yankee power uprate application. This decision was based on a more than 200-page supplement filed by Entergy on Jan. 31st (a copy is attached in pdf format). That means the 12-month clock for our formal review has now started. In fact, because we received the additional information we needed on Jan. 31st, we intend to consider the clock as having begun on that day. As I mentioned previously, the review may not take an entire year. In any case, we are now committed to wrapping up our review no later than Jan. 31, 2005.
