SUBJECT:

GE Proprietary Information Supporting Fort Calhoun Station (FCS)

Containment Sump Pilot Plant Audit On September 14, 2005, via Federal Express, the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) submitted photographs, and a sample of high particulate debris coating provided by General Electric (GE) to support the NRC Containment Sump Pilot Plant Audit. Although the understanding at the time was that the NRC would destroy the material following completion of the Audit Report, GE has agreed to allow the NRC to retain this material indefinitely but notes that the material is proprietary to GE and as such should .be withheld from public disclosure.

In addition to the photographs and debris sample, the Federal Express package contained a GE letter (Reference 2) with the Affidavit required by 10 CFR 2.390 establishing the proprietary nature of the material.
