- Rick, Thanks for identifying that you are scheduled to issue the draft Environmental Assessment for Vermont Yankee's power uprate by 11/8/05. We understand we will have 30 days following issuance of the draft to comment on your assessment.
Therefore, at this time we have no state comments for the Environmental Assessment.

VY EPU - State Comments on Environmental Impact?
- Bill, In accordance with the process in Review Standard RS-001, the NRC staff issues draft and final Environmental Assessments (EA) for EPU amendment requests. The draft EA provides 30 days for public comment. However, we need to check with the State if it has any comments before we issue the draft EA.
As we mentioned during the ASLB conference call on 8/3/05, the NRC is scheduled to issue the draft EA by 11/8/05. In order to meet this schedule, I would appreciate if you would provide any comments regarding the environmental impact of the proposed EPU by 9/15/05 (or let me know that you have no comments).
Please let me know if you have any questions.
