Dear NRC:

I live close enough to the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant that, if there is a radiation release from a catastrophic accident, I could be very, very adversely affected. So could 620,000 other Vermonters, and millions of people living in neighboring New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

We have a 33 year old nuclear reactor running in our state and it is up for relicensing in 7 years. I am concerned that the current relicensing regulations are not in the best interest of the public - and of our health and safety. I support Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano's 2.802 petition PRM-54-02 requiring NRC to take into account crucial components of public health and safety such as population density,infrastructure, and emergency planning during relicensing. Thanks very much for considering this.
