OF REVISED REGULATORY COMMITMENTS HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NUMBER NPF-57 In accordance with the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) process for managing Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) commitments, this correspondence is being submitted to discuss a commitment that has been changed, but not reported by other means.
LER 354196-008-01, Plant Operation With Control Rod Withdrawal Speeds Outside of Design Basis Due to Mis-Adjustment of the Control Rod Drive System Flow Control Needle Valves This LER included a commitment to ensure that as found control rod speeds are adjusted to with 10% of the allowed value. A subsequent engineering evaluation has determined that the 10% speed band is not desirable for optimum notch control. The new criteria have been included in the UFSAR.
