1 While the Staffs monthly reports provide useful information about the status of RAIs and responses, they fail to provide an estimate as to when the Staff will issue the draft and final versions of the SER, as required by the Initial Scheduling Order.

This is to notify Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee L.L.C., Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., the Vermont Department of Public Service, the New England Coalition of Brattleboro, Vermont, and the NRC Staff that the Board will hold a prehearing conference call to discuss scheduling matters on August 3, 2005 at 2 PM EDT. As the remainder of the schedule in this proceeding hinges on the Staffs issuance of the final Safety Evaluation Report, the Staff should be prepared to provide us with its best estimate of the date when it will issue the draft and final version of the SER.1 The parties should be prepared to discuss the impact of the delay in issuing the SER per the schedule initially estimated by the Staff, and the appropriate actions, if
