I. INTRODUCTION Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station is composed of two Boiling Water Reactors and Steam Turbine/Generators located in Delta, Pennsylvania. Unit Two and Unit Three both have a Maximum Dependable Capacity of 1112 MWe Net. The Station is jointly owned by Exelon Nuclear and Public Service Electric and Gas. The Nuclear Steam Supply Systems are General Electric Company Boiling Water Reactors. The Architect/Engineer and Primary Construction Contractor was Bechtel Corporation. The Susquehanna River is the condenser cooling water source. The plant is subject to license numbers DPR-44 and DPR-56, issued October 25, 1973, and July 2, 1974, for Unit Two and Unit Three respectively, pursuant to Docket Numbers 50-277 and 50-278. The dates of initial Reactor criticality for Units Two and Three were September 16, 1973, and August 7, 1974, respectively. Commercial generation of power began on February 18, 1974, for Unit Two, and September 1, 1974, for Unit Three.
II.
SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE A. Unit TWO Unit 2 began the month of May at 100.0% of maximum allowable power (3514 MWth).
At 23:10 on May 4h, Unit 2 commenced power reduction for planned HCU Maintenance. Following completion of the maintenance the Unit returned to full power by 02:15 on May 5th.
At 23:33 on May 6h Unit 2 commenced a power reduction for the following planned events; Rod Pattern Adjustment, Condensate Pump Motor Replacement, and waterbox cleaning. Following completion of these activities the Unit returned to full power by 00:21 on May 10h.
At 22:36 on May 1 1h Unit 2 commenced power reduction for planned Final Rod Pattern Adjustment. The Unit returned to full power by 21:27 on May 12th.
Unit 2 ended the month of May at 100% of maximum allowable power (3514 MWth).
B. Unit THREE Unit 3 began the month of May at 100% of maximum allowable power (3514 MWth).
At 23:00 on May 13th Unit 3 commenced power reduction for planned Rod Pattern Adjustment and waterbox cleaning. Following completion of these activities the Unit returned to full power by 07:07 on May 15th.
At 23:35 on May 16th Unit 3 commenced power reduction for planned Final Rod Pattern Adjustment. The Unit returned to full power by 11:39 on May 17th.
Unit 3 ended the month of May at 100% of maximum allowable power (3514 MWth).
